Stephanie C. Linnartz was promoted to EVP and CMO/CCO of Marriott International, which owns over 3,800 properties worldwide, in April of 2013. According to Arne Sorensen, Marriott’s President and CEO, Linnartz was promoted to help in “attracting next generation travelers, distinguishing our brands and portfolio, putting us at the forefront of technology, building preference among owners and franchisees and continuing our global expansion.” Prior to the promotion, she held several other positions at the company, including SVP of Global Sales and SVP of Sales & Marketing Planning and Support.
Before Marriott, Linnartz worked for Hilton Worldwide, and she grew up in the hospitality industry – her father is the owner of the Washington, DC Irish pub, The Dubliner.
