Managing Director of Travel
“Don’t just experience your company in your role, but as a traveler.” This comes from Rob Torres, Google’s Managing Director of Travel, who serves as the head of advertising and marketing for Google’s sprawling travel business. Many vacations now start with a Google search. Any business with any connection to travel at all would be wise to find a way to get their name on the first page of the world’s most widely used search engine. Torres manages and develops integrated and innovative advertising campaigns to help some of the world’s biggest travel brands reach consumers.
Before joining Google, Torres was the Vice President of Strategic Hotel Partnerships at Expedia. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown. He also sits on the board of directors for many nationally recognized travel business trade associations.
