Partner Max Rayner spearheads Hudson Crossing’s strategy and transactions’ practice after having a hand in development of numerous innovative products and services. He previously was Travelclick’s Senior VP of Product Engineering, overseeing solutions that process more than 5 billion bookings a year. Before Travelclick, Rayner served as CTO of Travelzoo, where he pioneered a number of innovations in travel search.
“On the product design side, the key trend is to let guests control their experiences in order to monetize all the ancillaries to a provider’s core service,” Rayner says. “Whether it’s hotels, airlines, limos or others, this means you’re not just selling transport or providing a bed, you’re providing an experience. Maybe a budget experience, maybe an ultra-luxury one but an experience nonetheless.”
