Since becoming MGM Resorts International’s first-ever CMO in 2010, Bill Hornbuckle has headed up several programs focused on improving customer relations, including the creation of M Life, MGM’s customer loyalty program. In late 2012, Hornbuckle’s role was expanded to CMO and President, and his new responsibilities include gaming development. He has also been leading company efforts to open a casino in Springfield, MA, which would be the first in that city since the state of Massachusetts legalized gambling in 2011, and outside of Washington, D.C.
Hornbuckle has over 35 years of experience with casino properties. He worked in various management positions at Mirage Resorts, and he has also served as President and COO of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and President and COO of MGM Mirage-Europe. Hornbuckle’s speaking engagements include a keynote for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance’s inaugural dinner and the 2011 Loyalty World USA conference.
